– OUR TERROIR, OUR TREASURE –
Classified Premier Cru
Situated on the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, our vineyard is classified “Premier Cru”. The vines, which are on average thirty-five years old, are planted in limestone clay soils.
The estate stretches over 5 hectares around the villages of Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly la Montagne and Ludes, where we cultivate three grape varieties: Pinot Meunier (50%), Pinot Noir (25%) and Chardonnay (25%).
An Exceptional Terroir
The vines benefit from an exceptional terroir and an environment that is ideal for the production of high-quality grapes, with well-orientated, sunny slopes and soils rich in clay and chalk.
In addition, the Montagne de Reims acts as a great natural regulator of the temperature, with its forest absorbing the heat of the day and releasing it during the night, providing welcome warmth for the vineyards.
For several years now we have been committed to positive action in favour of the environment.
We no longer use herbicides or insecticides, and treatments are reasoned. The estate is certified in Sustainable Viticulture (Viticulture Durable en Champagne) and HEV (High Environmental Value).
The philosophy of the Domaine:
“To produce good wine, you need good grapes. Everything begins in the vines, nature is our resource, we must take care of it.”
